Yield
with Jarred Wright
2-26 May 2026 Little River Gallery
These works reflect a moment of transition in my practice: abstract paintings that begin to hint at bodily presence, domestic gesture, and emotional resonance. The title Yield speaks to a giving way of boundaries, and to spaces that are both defined and fluid, personal and geopolitical. It also reflects ideas of material change, as seen in the glass works of my gallery partner, Jarred Wright.
While abstraction, often grounded in the landscape, has been a foundation of my work, these paintings take a more deliberate interest in how the body—particularly the maternal body—can be implied, felt, or remembered. The intimate family tableaus reflect a quiet negotiation between holding on and letting go.
